Hull & District Report April 17th 2011
Age 1 Squad
Swimming in the 13 year age group in the 200m I.M were Lauren Hall and Jessica Chapman, Lauren took the gold in a time of 2.47.64 with Jessica taking the silver medal. 11-year-old Leoni Bull took the silver medal in the 100m fly with a 9 second PB, With Ben Chapman taking the boys’ 11-year-old gold medal in a time of 1.35.19. Hannah Willingham took the 5th place medal in the 12-year age group in a time of 1.32.36. Bailey Hairsine took the gold in the 12-year-old boys in an impressive time of 1.18.81, with Joshua Hawkard taking the silver medal with a new PB. In the 100 free Lauren claimed her second Gold in a time of 1.06.44 with Jessica taking the 4th place medal. In the 200m breast Hannah took the 3rd place medal with an impressive swim with Bailey again swimming his way to another gold and Joshua finished off the medal for age 1 with the bronze medal
Age 3 Squad
In the Girls 9yrs 25m Backstroke, all the swimmers, achieved respectable times, Lily Hawkard gained a 4th place medal with a time of 22.29 the race also saw Jolie Bull and Hannah Sedman-Smith gain a 1 sec PB, good performances were also seen by Ellie Peaks and Ruby Willingham. An outstanding performance was seen in the Boys 09yrs 25m Backstroke which saw Cameron Offen gain a 1st place trophy in his first Hull & District, Cameron also gained a 6 sec PB. In the Girls 10yrs 100m Breaststroke Josie Scorah gained a respectable time of 2:14.07 in her 1st 100m-breaststroke race. Next we saw the Girls 09/10yrs 200m freestyle were we saw Jolie Bull gain 4th place, great performances were also seen by, Lily Hawkard, Hannah Sedman-Smith and Ruby Willingham.
More great performances were seen in the Boys 10yrs 100m Breaststroke which saw Callum Wright gain 4th place and Liam Spence 5th place both swimmers gained good times. All swimmers gave their very best. Then came the Boys 09/10yrs 200m Freestyle which saw Cameron Offen gain his 2nd medal of the day coming 3rd with a respectable time of 3:38.65 and Ethan Kingdom coming 4th, for both boys it was their first 200m freestyle race.
In the 10 yrs age group, Callum Wright, Liam Spence, Charlie Bucur and William Bucur, gave excellent performances, this was a first time event for some of the swimmers and looked technically brilliant & they were rewarded with superb times.
