FUNDRAISING INITATIVE PROVING A BIG SUCCESS
On the 12 January 2012 Kingston upon Hull swimming club launched a fundraising initiative to help the club meet their financial responsibilities, but little did we know it was going to be such a big success. The idea was the brain child of Lewis Kingdom whose son Ethan swims for the club and along with Andy Wormald are making sure the venture is a success.
Lewis has been inundated with offers of donations from other parents of metal items of all shapes and sizes and will even collect the larger items. The scheme has now been running for four week and thanks to the hard work of Lewis and the parents from the club has now raised a staggering £500. A large cheque was presented to the chairman Peter Richardson by Ethan Kingdom and Josh Wormald at the recent presentation evening.
This is a great effort in such a short time, but with more offers of help coming in the club are hoping to raise even more money.
So remember if it is metal we will take it
