As many of you may be aware, Hull City Council are planning to close the only Competition Standard pool in Hull, that being the Ennerdale Leisure Centre pool.
Not only would this be a disastrous event for the club in terms of holding both Club and Open swimming competitions, but it would also directly hinder the ability for the club to fulfil their weekly training sessions.
With the closing of Sydney Smith pool this year the club were already under great pressure to fit their training commitments into the remaining pools around Hull, but with the planning closure of Ennerdale pool this would make that task impossible.
The Council are holding a consultation into the planned closure as well as other Leisure Sites across Hull and it essential that we get as many members, parents, grandparents and friends as possible to complete the consultation paper and send back to the Council.
We have also set up a petition to sign that we are looking for as many signatures as possible to show the Council the level of support that we have around Hull to keep this pool open.

Please help the club, the swimmers and the potential Olympic swimmers of the future by showing your support for this planned closure.
