VOLUNTEERING

KUHSC is 99% run with volunteer support, with all volunteers giving up their free time to help our athletes be the best they can be.

The committee members of the club are nominated and elected at the annual general meeting (AGM), held in November each year. To find more information on our Committee members and their roles see “KUHSC Committee” on the docs page

KUHSC’s coaches are also mainly built from volunteers, many work full time during the day and coach poolside 5-6 nights a week. In addition, coaches write up training plans, compile gala entry forms, maintain individual athlete’s records of PB’s and qualifying times and support athletes at galas.

So who looks after the administration for the coaches?

Each squad has a Squad Manager assigned to it, you can find out who your Squad Manager is by clicking on the ‘Squad’ section of the website. The role of the Squad Manager is to ensure registers are taken, gala forms are distributed and collected and communication between coach and parent/carer is conducted.

In addition to the Elected committee members and coaching roles within the club KUHSC also relies on the support of all it’s members. The organising of Galas is completely carried out by volunteers and every single bit of support is vital.
